My mother came through her surgery just fine -- they found a couple more lumps, but we won't find out more about them for another week -- but I'm glad I took the afternoon off to spend with her anyway, not only because I was worried about her, but also because I may never get another chance to see my mother stoned and demanding cheetos and coke because she's got the munchies.

Thanks so much for the love and good wishes, folks. They are very much appreciated, by my whole family.

Oh, hurrah! I'm so glad she did well in surgery, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the other lumps are nothing to fret about.

Cheetos and coke! See, the body inherently craves the things that will nourish it, even when under the influence. I hope she enjoyed them.
