Because I don't kill enough time online

I signed up today for NaBloPoMo. What possessed me, I hear you asking? Well. I had this thought in the back of my mind that committing to writing every day for a month would get me back into a habit I've been out of for several years now. (I'm thinking this is something like buying clothes two sizes too small as an incentive to lose weight, which everyone knows doesn't actually work, but.)

What can I say? I miss the days when I had something to say and was just happy to get it out there, floating around, whether anyone read it or not.

My paid account recently lapsed, and I did know it had lapsed -- I am lazy and also poor -- but I only just realized that a basic account does not include image galleries, and now all my images are gone. I am kind of sick about this, since I had hundreds of images posted there, and I am so mad at livejournal I'm going to start hosting photos elsewhere, even if I do ever get around to renewing my account. So I have a question for you: Photobucket or Flickr, and why?

nablopomo! you know, i think i might sign up as well. THE HORROR OF POSTING EVERY DAY AWAITS ME. to post flocked or unlocked, though, that is the question. clearly i will have to create another poll. :>


i have a flickr account and i adore it, even though it's collecting dust until i buy a camera that's vista-compatible, so i can use it with sam the gay laptop. however, i don't know how i'd feel about storing pictures that didn't come off my camera on there. does that make sense? i mean, i upload a ton of really dumb pictures for my livejournal, like the unicorn one, and the hand gestures? and i wouldn't put them in my flickr account, although i'm sure some people do. and yet, using both photobucket and flickr seems like a lot of work! damn you, livejournal!

Hey, with ten entries in one month you're well on your way! Ahead of me, anyway. :D You should sign up too -- I would to read entries every day from you!

I probably would use flickr for the dumb stuff -- I have lots of it, too -- but maybe tagged? It's a good point, though, that I'll probably feel a little weird about it, especially about images that aren't mine. flickr seems much more public than other photo storage sites, doesn't it?
