I've had such a shittacular couple of days, I don't even feel like whining at length about them, and I'm sure you're dreadfully sorry about that. Well, but in lieu of actual whining, I am going to say just three things:

1. If you take advantage of my good nature, you may think you're getting away with it, but I will remember, and resent you for it, for whatever that's worth. Also for what it's worth, I will resent myself more, for not just fucking standing up and insisting on my right not to be taken advantage of.



2. Please, Universe, never let me work again for a man who starts network-wide system upgrades in the middle of the day without telling anyone he's going to be doing it and does it wrongly and doesn't actually finish anyway, and then disappears for a day and a half, and leaves Other People i.e. me to clean up the mess he's made. Thank you.



3. STOP GETTING CANCER, GODDAMN IT. That is an order, folks, and don't think I won't check to make sure you're obeying my edict.

There, I'm done. I'm ready to start tomorrow, just about. But before I do, could I just ask you one favor? Could you please just tell me that I don't suck? I could really use a little encouragement of that sort, right now. And in return, I promise to tell you exactly in what ways you delight me.

Aha, but you know, I wrote Snape as a sort of Gashlycrumb, years ago -- so I feel that my diorama was by no means even the first of my own Body of Work to explore the Goreyness of Snape.

My name does rock, doesn't it? So does yours, by the way -- I've always thought so.

That's not why I love you, though. You are one of the few people who, in my shyness and awkwardness, I think I would find very easy to talk to, if I ever were to meet you in person -- you're friendly and easygoing and not at all shy yourself, and we share so many interests! How could we miss, I ask you.
