I didn't tell you, did I, about going to the Chinese restaurant I went to this past week? It was pretty pedestrian, as Chinese restaurants go--as Chinese restaurants almost invariably are, in the South--but the fortune I got in my cookie was delightful, if inexplicable. It says this, in toto:

This, I believe, is my all-time favorite fortune. I am using it as a bookmark now. I am saving it forever.

Not unless you want to work in a bookstore. The people are lovely--I vouch for their kindly welcome--but the pay is shit.
