I didn't tell you, did I, about going to the Chinese restaurant I went to this past week? It was pretty pedestrian, as Chinese restaurants go--as Chinese restaurants almost invariably are, in the South--but the fortune I got in my cookie was delightful, if inexplicable. It says this, in toto:

:) We are happy together. :)

This, I believe, is my all-time favorite fortune. I am using it as a bookmark now. I am saving it forever.

That? Is an awesome fortune. Fortune cookies aren't really a big thing over here, but when I've been in America and had them, my fortunes have always been disappointingly mundane. All you really need is something as simple as "We are happy together".
