constanceI started the day with one of those lists of things to do--you know the sort, the lists so long that you lie in bed when you wake up thinking about it and thinking alone is enough to make you want to pull your covers back over your head and go back to sleep. But on account of the fact that I am a good girl, I got my ass out of bed and showered and got to work, and as a result, I am happy to say that I rock very hard indeed, because I have gotten nearly all of it done.
Here is a list of the things I've done today, because who wouldn't be interested, really:
Written four letters, two postcards, and put together a package, and actually mailed them all
Paid all the bills that were due, leaving me wretchedly poor
Went to the grocery store (though I stupidly forgot to buy Cream of Wheat)
Returned the broken folding bookcase I bought at Lowe's last week
Organized the guest room, finally
Watched three parts of Hornblower <3 and am working on the fourth
Did my taxes (sadly, this year's refund is less than half the size of last year's)
And I did it all under the humiliating cloud of my rainy day hair (it wants to fall in these loose ringlets when it's really damp out and I don't bother to try and straighten it, and I happen to like this look on other people but it makes me look like a fat 7-year-old tomboy whose girly and despairing mother has saddled her with rag curls). And now all that's left are taking out the trash and washing the dishes and finding a place for the few odds and ends that got moved from the guest room to my room. Which I can finish up in a few minutes before bed, and then, rather than rocking very hard indeed, I will rock so extremely hard that I might just fall over.

Date: 2006-02-23 11:44 am (UTC)And I meant to write you about the ecard but I got it just before I left for home, and somehow in all the end-of-day activity, it slipped my mind. But! OMG I loved it. I watched it about three times just because those two characters were so fabulous.
