Top ten reasons why today is not a good day:

1. After we all thought that the worst was over and my family was safe in the aftermath of Rita, it turns out that my uncle and two of my cousins lost their houses



2. My officemate is out for the day being tested for mouth cancer



3. I had a long and complicated dream about moving and everything going wrong, including my dog dying



4. Michael Brown



5. I have a toothache



6. I got home from work yesterday and discovered that my laptop will not boot up



7. Michael Brown



8. I slept wrong and my neck is killing me



9. I want to go home and worry and mope and sleep but instead must work for a living



10. I hate Michael Brown so goddamn bad

Michael Brown would be enough of a list all on his own. I'm sorry there's a boatload of other horrendous line items as well. Feel better soon, my sweet.

I did think about making a separate list of just administration woes. But that sort of takes everything out of context, you know?
