Wait a minute, is that all? moment: The two-sentence discussion of Sirius's death.
Nine-year-old boy moments: U-No-Poo. Hagrid snorting bogeys onto his peeled potatoes.
Oh, Fleur moment: the slap in Mrs. Weasley's face with her long silvery hair.
First H/G sighting: Harry remembering with annoyance that Ginny doesn't hang with them at school.
First H/D Sighting: A boot to the head!
Oh, Ron moments: "I'm tall," Ron said inconsequentially. And: Harry and Slughorn watched him. For a moment, Ron beamed at them. Then, very slowly, his grin sagged and vanished, to be replaced by an expression of utmost horror.
Oh, Filch moment: Everybody getting poked gleefully with the Secrecy Sensor.
Shivery moments: Katie Bell, up in the air, gracefully splayed and expressionless, with her hair swirling crazily around her. Riddle in the orphanage, trying to force Dumbledore to tell him the truth.
Oh, Harry moments: His thinking of kissing Ginny and being sure that Ron would hex him into oblivion if he tried. Stoned!Harry pushing through Ginny and Dean at the portrait hole and being all B) at causing a fight between them.
Oh, Hermione moment: The little flock of golden birds continued to twitter in circles around her head so that she looked like a strange, feathery model of the solar system.
Oh, Luna moment: "Nobody's ever asked me to a party before, as a friend! Is that why you dyed your eyebrow, for the party? Should I dye mine too?"
Oh, JKR moment: The vampire named Sanguini askhajkjlughh!
Oh, Lavender moment: Ron's Christmas bling.
Oh, Kreacher moment: Kreacher, either breeding a box of maggots or finding them somewhere, and then carefully wrapping them up with a tag for Harry.
Harry by God you kick his ass! moment: telling Rufus Scrimgeour off at the Weasleys'. Ruthlessly channeling his reputation into getting the Horcrux memory from Slughorn.
Oh, Slughorn moments: the tampered-with memory. His speech over Aragog while surreptitiously bottling his blood.
Oh, HP Series moment: The entire Gryffindor/Hufflepuff match and its aftermath, from start to finish. Harry's obsession with Malfoy making him almost late, Crabbe and Goyle in polyjuice drag, Cormac McLaggen trying to take over team management, Ron anxious about McLaggen and needing constant reassurance, Harry ignoring his team responsibilities to tell Cormac off for ignoring team responsibilities, Boot to the head!, the most sublime color commentary in the history of color commentaries, and let's not forget Kreacher/Dobby.
Pivotal moment: Chapter twenty-three, which I think is one of the most important chapters in the entire series.
OH NO HARRY NO moments: ...Malfoy, his face contorted, cried, "Cruci--"... "Sectumsempra!" Bellowed Harry from the floor, waving his wand wildly. And: Ridiculously, nobly renouncing Ginny at Dumbledore's funeral.
Oh, Tonks moment: "You see?" said a strained voice. Tonks was glaring at Lupin.
And the heartbroken moments: Harry, asleep with his face against the window, waiting for Dumbledore, but not packed because he's not sure Dumbledore's really going to be there. Harry force-feeding Dumbledore the potion in the cave. Snape and Dumbledore in the Lightning-Struck Tower. Hagrid's house on fire. Snape's uncontrolled rage and pain at Harry's accusations of cowardice in the forest. Harry blindly following Ginny from Dumbledore's body back into the castle. "And after all, Remus, young and whole men do not necessarily remain so." Dumbledore sleeping in the new portrait in the headmaster's office. Dumbledore's funeral.

I thought chapter 24 was important too--more in terms of the HBP than in terms of the bathroom scene, to tell you the truth--but chapter 23 tied together so many plot-points and introduced so many more!

Are you as morbidly curious as I about Probity Poles?
...color commentary? I have a feeling my visual background is throwing me for a loop here.

There are two types of sports announcers. One is a play-by-play announcer, who sticks to breaking down the game as it unfolds, and the other is a color announcer, who puts the game into context, talks about stats and players and team histories and plans and stuff.
Luna with her talk about Loser's Lurgy and pretty clouds! <3333333333!
