mixed media overdose in sight

I meant to spend the rest of the evening yesterday (after I ascended from the depths of my crawlspace) reorganizing my biggish spare room, but I didn't, because you remember the post in which I asked for comics recs? Well, I found a service that will send you out comics scans for a nominal fee, and as of yesterday I am the proud owner of over 13 GB of scans, including most of the comics you all recommended (except for a few of the more obscure ones) and a few more besides.

And so I spent about four hours last night obsessively reading The Books of Magic, because I am a sucker for bespectacled teenage magicians, and plan to spend more time tonight doing the same. And I have company coming in three weeks for the Harry Potter release, and I should really spend that time making sure that living conditions are generally hospitable, but I'm very much afraid that when octoberstory and fieldreporter arrive, I'll be forced to wade through piles of clothes and rubbish to answer the door on account of having spent every spare minute of every day in front of my computer screen.

And there are other things to prevent me from doing what needs to be done! The arrival of Thomas Tryon's The Other. A Game of Thrones to finish still (though I may have to read this one first, as I'm having trouble keeping track of everyone, in the first chapters of the audio). The completion of the final episodes of Battlestar Galactica and the first season of Supernatural. I mean! At this rate, I'll be lucky if, when octoberstory and fieldreporter arrive, I haven't just melted permanently into my desk chair.
