  1. [livejournal.com profile] bowdlerized definitely knows this one, but others may be able to help out too. There is a site where you can convert mp3s to ringtones for your phone, yes? I can't remember the URL, now that I've actually decided which tones I want to use, and was hoping someone could help out.

  2. My latest house crush is just off the town square of a little town about 20-30 minutes from Macon (depending on how fast you're willing to drive). It's 75 years old, with big rooms, (seems to be) in decent shape, sits on 2/3 of an acre of ground, has a fenced yard, is well within my budget. The only thing that keeps me from dancing around in glee is that in that fenced yard is a swimming pool. Now, I love to swim and all, but I'm kind of O_o at the idea of having to keep everything going. Has anyone on my flist ever had primary care of a pool? What do you have to say about the experience? All I can remember about the one house with a pool we lived in is that my father ever after refused to have anything to do with one.

constance: (what could it be?)
I brought the pup into my vet's office as soon as it opened this morning. The diagnosis: Colitis, which I guessed by the vet's vagueness must be the sort of canine equivalent of a human "stomach bug" (in that the term covers an awful lot of territory), and internet research confirms this. The important thing, though, is that the vet wasn't especially concerned. Flan ate the gastro diet food they gave to her, her cut for the easily grossed out ), and she wasn't sick once this morning (nor, I might add, last night with me). The vet's posish is that she is firmly on the mend, and with the help of some special food and a little medication, she will be completely fine within a few days.

So! Thank you for last night's good vibes--they seem to have done the trick nicely.

After a couple of cool nights but very warm days, the weather finally seems to be settling into autumn, and by the middle of next week, we will have some quite respectable fall weather. I'm looking forward to it very much. This, combined with the good news on the dog front and a two-day weekend ahead of me and the fact that my four-day work week starts on Monday, have me feeling all expansive and sprightly and Pippa's Song-ish, and to celebrate, I would like to...well, celebrate, actually, in some nominally livejournally way. I'm not sure what to do, is all. Any suggestions? Another karaoke night? (Would you participate if I started things off?) A friending frenzy? An icon orgy? A drabble night? What do you say? *pokes you*
