Oh, man. A few years ago, I was only-half-jokingly complaining to a very dear online friend that no one ever said anything about me in those ubiquitous love memes that were popping up all over the place, and she totally shamed me by showing me the one she'd written about me in the very meme we were looking at. I wish I'd saved the text, because when I read it then, I remember being astonished (and abjectly grateful) that there was someone out there who felt so strongly that I was a fine person. It was the sort of thing you hold close and take out on the worst days to make yourself feel better, and I didn't hold it as close as I ought to've and I'm sorry for it. As for recent stuff, my work BFF told me the other week that I was her Translator of Life. It didn't compare to the things my online friend said, but it was embarrassingly gratifying to me.
