Once more into the breach, dear friends.

I love this blog, you dig? It makes me sad when I go for long periods of time without updating, makes me feel awkward and tongue-tied in a way that usually only happens when I'm confronted with real live people. And God, I have no intention of letting my own ineptitude turn this into yet another place where I feel overwhelmingly, teeth-grindingly silenced.
With that in mind, I'm going to make another attempt getting back into a semi-regular groove, and since I mean to post, and since I've always meant to start posting photos more often in spite of my nonexistent skillz as a photo-type-thing-taking person, I figure that I'll combine the two things for now. I think what's gonna happen here is that when the urge strikes me (and also, let's be realistic about my recent posting history, when it doesn't), I'm going to post a photo of a little piece of my life and then maybe talk about it. I hope I'll talk about it.
We'll just see how far this gets us, shall we?
I picked these up a couple of weeks ago at a local pottery show, and I am deeply in love with them. They're by an Athens-based artist named Crisha Yantis. I loved everything she had on display, and wish I could've bought one of her bigger works, but I'm quite happy with my little plate and bowl.

Kid, I tell you, my cell phone. I didn't get your message till the other night, and now I'm just purely embarrassed to call you. :/ I'm so sorry. When's a good time for me to try again?
