What's that riding on your everything?
Nov. 22nd, 2007 12:06 amI'll be busy with family for most of the day tomorrow, and since it's technically tomorrow already -- or did I just blow your mind? -- I'm posting this now, in case I don't get to it later. Happy Thanksgiving, Americans! Happy Thursday, everyone else!
01. when you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?
God, I need a haircut.
02. how much cash do you have on you?
On me? None, because I don't keep money on my person. In my purse? $62.09; I am rich for the next 24 hours at least! On the washing machine? $7.00, because I sometimes do keep money on my person after all but then it gets washed because I forget to take it out of my pockets and it must be laid out to dry. In change? An old green juice jar full. Usually, the full juice jar amounts to something over $150.00. I am saving it to help buy a plane ticket to an Undisclosed Midwestern Location.
03. what's a word that rhymes with "door?"
Explore.
04. favourite planet?
Saturn.
05. who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone?
The Red Cross, who call every other day to remind me to make an appointment to donate platelets.
06. what is your favourite ring on your phone?
I have this very elaborate plan where everyone on my phone gets his or her own instrumental riff -- have the music picked out, mp3 mini-files made and everything -- but have so far failed to implement. If I have your number and you want to know what yours will be when I bother to upload the music to my phone, I'll tell you. If I don't have your number, I'll think about it and tell you what I'd give you if I had it.
07. what shirt are you wearing?
A black wool cardigan over a black and white striped t-shirt.
08. do you "label" yourself?
My darlings, I wouldn't even know where to begin.
09. name the brand of your shoes you're currently wearing?
Am barefoot. Chilled in the foot region. Contemplating putting on socks.
10. bright or dark room?
I have complicated ideas about lighting. Probably it's best not to get me started.
11. what do you think about the person who took this survey before you?
She is one of my favorite people in all the world.
12. what were you doing at midnight last night?
Lying in bed in the dark, watching Supernatural, fighting for space.
13. what did the last text message you received on your cell say?
from
octoberstory. Later: did I just dream that business about jkr saying dd is gay? It seems like the kind of excellent dream I'd have, then wake up laughing. Obviously, I don't get too many text messages. Though all are welcome.
14. where is your nearest 7-11?
The 7-11 Store locator refuses to tell me. I suspect not very near.
15. what's a word that you say a lot?
Excellent. Because I am Bill S. Preston, Esq. Or maybe Mr. Burns. No, probably Bill.
16.who told you he/she loved you last?
My mother.
17. last furry thing you touched?
Rachel. I am touching her now; she's lying against my forearm.
18. how many drugs have you done in the last three days?
Three Claritin. Three multivitamins. I'm middle-aged, not a goddamned slacker hippie teenager!
19. how many rolls of film do you need developed?
None. I have not had any for years. And yet I still have a 35mm camera.
20. favourite age you have been so far?
It's a tie between 10 and 30. I'm hoping that 50 will be equally wonderful, but from here it feels like a long time to wait.
21. worst enemy?
Plaque? Deep fryers? Myself? Except in the abstract sense (institutions, political machines, etc.), I don't have any human enemies. I don't think. But hey, who am I to say that no one is out there actively wishing me a long and miserable life?
22. what is your current desktop picture?
Here's a screencap.
23. what was the last thing you said to someone?
"Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay!" To Leory, who was insistently pushing past me to get to the kneehole in the desk.
24. if you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly what would it be?
Tough call. But if I could fly, I could probably pick up some extra cash doing demonstrations, right?
25. do you like someone?
What are we, in fifth grade? Not in the fifth-grade sense, no.
26. the last song you listened to?
"Gravity Rides Everything" by Modest Mouse.
