Ten things about my weekend

1. I miss zefrank's show.



2. My inability to get around to watching the latest season of SPN is bordering on the pathological -- especially since I'm finally starting to get into the fic (well, and it certainly helps kick-start the fic frenzy when someone's feeding you custom recs).



3. In a related matter, my new favorite word is cocktoberfest.



4. I am now officially fifteen pounds lighter than I was six weeks ago. Also down a pair of jeans, as I mentioned, but my wardrobe is opening up again, which is most satisfying.



5. After a conversation with one of our staff carpenters (who enthusiastically supported my hankering for a tattoo, and who recommended a parlor), and remembering a little exchange I had with friendly a long time ago, I've decided to reward myself for a certain weight loss goal with a tattoo. For real. For sure. It'll take me a while to get to that goal, but it's nice to have a specific reward in mind for it, even if it's sort of a terrifying one.



6. My house is much more appealing clean than it is dirty. I knew this already, but you'd think this knowledge would lead to vigilance. In you, it probably does. In me, it does not.



7. After years of rebellion, I have finally quietly submitted to the dailiness of doing the dishes.



8. According to Svedka -- and why should I have any reason to doubt the science cred of a Vodkabot? -- This is me, given a future of forking paths, in the year 2033. Kind of gives me a reason to live, don't you think?



9. Although this photographer does not make me want to learn the tango -- I'm just a hopeless dancer, and my limitations preclude learning the tango without serious injury to myself and others -- he does make me want to have children so I can force them to learn. God, those kids. My heart is breaking into a million pieces on the floor.
   
   Also, I really want most of those shoes.



10. I don't know anything about the band Vonnegut Dollhouse, but I totally want to buy their latest CD.

There are three of us in this boat of filth. :( You should see the dust bunnies at my place. I swear I clean them up every weekend! ... well okay, maybe every other weekend... BUT THEY KEEP COMING BACK. :(

I am glad you are doing the tattoo reward, too! If it's a big enough number, you have plenty of time to think about it before you get there, and then when you do it's like PHEW! I'M SO SETTLED ON THIS! except of course I still haven't gotten there but I imagine that's what it will be like. I am hoping I get there by my birthday!

Having a pet in the house means that you have to clean twice as often or your house starts to look like you abandoned it years ago. With every extra pet, less time between cleanings. It is not fair! >:O

It is a big number, my Milestone, and I have plenty of time to work myself up to it, and also I will look so much more awesome with my fabulously semi-toned body at that point that it'll be a pleasure to get, I'm sure. Well. I hope.

And I will keep my fingers crossed that you're ready to go by your birthday. Keep us posted, please!
