Ah, the lure of sweet, sweet lcd.

It turns out that when you kill your laptop with Coca-Cola, people tend to come forward and offer replacements up to you, all unbidden. They say, "I've been wanting to get a new laptop! And I will give you mine!" Just because they are awesome.

And so I have another laptop. And one exact replica of my old one upon which I bid at ebay before the skies opened up and started raining laptops on me: that one is on its way. And I even have backup offers!

Did I say that people are awesome? Well, they certainly are.

I have a lot of things to report, things I noted during the week and told myself I must not fail to mention in a journal entry. But a week is a long time for me to try to retain something as ephemeral as a dream or a passing notion, and so I've forgotten everything. Maybe some things will come back to me, but in the meantime, I'm just going to start over now.
