Ah, the lure of sweet, sweet lcd.
It turns out that when you kill your laptop with Coca-Cola, people tend to come forward and offer replacements up to you, all unbidden. They say, "I've been wanting to get a new laptop! And I will give you mine!" Just because they are awesome.
And so I have another laptop. And one exact replica of my old one upon which I bid at ebay before the skies opened up and started raining laptops on me: that one is on its way. And I even have backup offers!
Did I say that people are awesome? Well, they certainly are.

I have a lot of things to report, things I noted during the week and told myself I must not fail to mention in a journal entry. But a week is a long time for me to try to retain something as ephemeral as a dream or a passing notion, and so I've forgotten everything. Maybe some things will come back to me, but in the meantime, I'm just going to start over now.

On a totally different note, how do you say "Do not touch me" in French? (Not that I would ever say this to you)

I guess it depends on who you're talking to, as far as the French question goes. If you're talking to someone with whom you're friendly, or someone who you maybe want to insult by being overfamiliar, you'd say ne me touche pas. Otherwise, you'd probably use the formal address: ne me touchez pas.
