A parliament of robins

constanceThis afternoon I arrived home to the discovery that I was all-unknowingly hosting a robin convention. It was so deeply cool! There were robins everywhere, on the grass, in the driveway, in the trees, just hundreds and hundreds of them. I hope they're not heading back north for spring -- if they are, they're in for a nasty shock -- but wherever they're headed, I'm glad they decided to stop by.
Days like today remind me that I never have gotten around to carrying my camera around with me 24/7, the way I intended to carry it when I got it. Some days, you just need to take a picture. Because how else will you remember how delighted you were to come home to a yardful of robins?
