Oh! Robyn Hitchcock and Elvis Costello are consistently my all-time favorite recording artists.
I've seen him twice in concert too! both times in New Orleans, both times at sweaty, unairconditioned Tiptina's, and both times I didn't care because I was so enratured by the surreal silliness:
I probably shouldn't admit that I've had The Asking Tree portion of that site bookmarked for years. You never know when you're going to need to look up lyrics, I say!
