I sympathise with your sartorial disaster. I am the same with much-loved clothes. Even when I finally stop wearing them because they are way beyond being respectable, I keep them stashed away at the back of cupboards and the bottom or drawers for years. Oh, and I've just spent a fortune to get a pair of 10-year-old clunky boots patched up *again*. (When are clunky heels coming back in, when!? I love heels but can't walk in spindly stilettos. And don't talk to me about the abomination of "kitten" heels!)
Surely your performance review wasn't bad? I can't imagine it. Come on, I bet it turned out fine.
