4. State of the Toe


1. It is slightly worse than last evening

2. Pain replaced with numbness

2. Tried to see a doctor for it this morning


1. Established PCP is helping out on the Gulf Coast for two weeks


2. Referral doctor not accepting my bleeding POS insurance


3. Earliest appointment available with insurance-assigned doctor: December


4. Other doctors given to me by handy 1-800 nurse line not accepting walk-ins


5. Urgent Care facilities not in my POS network


1. Available with $1000 deductible


2. I do not have $1000 and if I did would not want to spend it on my little toe


3. Only viable option is to visit local emergency room


1. Feel like a total fool flouncing in to ER with a bruised baby toe


2. Do not want to be the reason why GWB says we as a people overuse our health care privileges but cannot seem to avoid it on this occasion


3. Must wait till payday--tomorrow--to go, because all discretionary cash spent on donations
