An early-morning quiz result

This morning I sat straight up out of a sound sleep feeling as though I was about to be sick, with a sharp pain just behind my eyes. After sitting up, I almost instantly felt better (the headache is still hanging on, though), but I almost wish I hadn't, because I don't really want to go to work this morning. I would rather sit on my front porch and sip lemonade and read.

Maybe I should just call in, I keep thinking. I won't, but I can't stop thinking about doing it anyway.

I feel that my life would be easier if only I were a much better person, or a much worse one.

And for those of you who asked: my mother is okay. The doctor's office finally called yesterday.
