Nah, the Birth of a Nation I was asking about is the graphic novel (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1400083168/qid=1124671561/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/102-4210457-2282550?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) by McGruder and others, about what happens when East St. Louis secedes from the US. It's uneven, but really kind of brilliant. And yes, Boondocks is hilarious. I do so love those kids.
