art for art's sake
Jul. 11th, 2006 03:13 amTonight I realized that four people are supposed to be getting Snape fanart postcards from me by the end of the week, and panicked. After struggling fruitlessly with my original concept for a few hours, I suddenly had a completely different and highly cracktastic idea (or do I mean craptastic? That, I think, is for the recipients to decide), and got to work pulling stock photos from gettyimages.
I mention this not because of the project per se -- no one apart from the recipients will have much interest in my ideas for Snape postcards -- but because while I was searching for images I found ( this ), and I'm absolutely damned if I can figure out what exactly is going on in what I would just like to remind you is a stock photo. I've been giggling about it off and on for a couple of hours now, possibly because it is now almost 3:30 am and I've had much more caffeine than is strictly good for me, and I just felt like sharing it. Is all.
I am making a genuine effort to stick to a schedule, here, up in the morning at 7:30 and bed by 1am at the latest. As you can see, some nights I'm just not succeeding.
ETA: Okay, I think I figured it out. It makes more sense once you realize that the thing he's holding is not, in fact, a fishing pole, and the thing he's wearing is not, in fact, a bathrobe.
