I started the day with one of those lists of things to do--you know the sort, the lists so long that you lie in bed when you wake up thinking about it and thinking alone is enough to make you want to pull your covers back over your head and go back to sleep. But on account of the fact that I am a good girl, I got my ass out of bed and showered and got to work, and as a result, I am happy to say that I rock very hard indeed, because I have gotten nearly all of it done.

Oh! Oh! I forgot to tell you about the pen that I wrote my reams of correspondence with this morning. It is so entirely lovely! It's a fountain pen THAT DOES NOT LEAK and has an extra-fine nib so that I can write very small, which I totally love to do, and with this pen my handwriting is just so ridiculously tiny that you would simply not believe how tiny it is if I told you. And did I mention that this pen DOES NOT LEAK, because it meant that I wrote steadily for about two and a half hours this morning and there is not a single smudge of ink on my left hand, which is pretty unheard-of for me, even with a regular pen.

It's not a perfect pen. It feels a little top-heavy in my hand. But it is quite pretty, and by God that tiny handwriting! AND IT DOES NOT LEAK!!!!!
